The moss or granite or linen or even jersey stitch is a soft and easy stitch.
Is the ideal for beginners in order to practice the two very first stitches they learn, which are:
1.The foundation chain
2. and the single crochet stitch
As a matter of fact the first Row is made by the foundation chain which should be an even number of chains.
The second Row is made by a single crochet stitch which is worked in each stitch of the previous row.
The third and the rest of the rows are made by:
ch 1, skip 1 stitch, 1 single crochet throughout the row and throughout the work.
