Dear crocheters!!! Welcome back to the school of crochet. In this post and the video below you can learn how to make one of the basic stitches: the SINGLE CROCHET stitch.
Single crochet stitch, together with the Extended single crochet stitch and the foundation chain ( foundation chain for left handed), are the easiest of all basic stitches.
Is an extremely useful stitch which helps us to crochet a lot of other stitches, such as:
TRIANGLE in Rows and DECREASE stitches, MOSS/GRANITE/LINEN/JERSEY/GRID stitch, Crochet the CREPE stitch, the WATTLE stitch, BACK LOOP Ribbed Single crochet/BRIOCHE Stitch, and many more others.
In the video below are step by step instructions to learn in an easy way to crochet the single crochet stitch.
Enjoy crocheting!!!
Instructions:
1. In order to make the single crochet we start by making the slip knot and the foundation chain, if we want to work in rows or the magic ring/magic loop, if we want to crochet in rounds.2. Then insert the crochet hook into the next stitch,
3. draw up a loop,
4. yo and pull the yarn through both loops on the hook.
