In this tutorial we are going to see how to crochet the Back Loop Simple Crochet or Brioche Stitch.
When we crochet we create stitches... each stitch is composed from two loops:
1. Front Loop
2. Back Loop
While crocheting sometimes we work on both loops, sometimes only in one of them.
Front and back loop are relative, that depend on the position you are viewing the work.
When you are only working into back loops, it means that you will work into the back loops no matter which side of the work you are working from.
Your pattern will usually give you specific guidance about whether you should work throughout the work or just in some specific parts of it.
If we go back into the past, some writers refer that this stitch is also called, "Ribbed stitch" or "Russian Stitch". To crochet the Brioche stitch or Back Loop Simple Crochet we work in the Back Loop
