In this tutorial I am going to explain how to make the Cathedral Stitch Edge
You can either start directly the border and then add it to the fabric or crochet it directly onto the fabric by using the blanket stitch technique
or the whip stitch for crocheting technique

Multiple of 6 + 1 chains
You can start directly on the fabric by using one of the techniques:
The Blanket Stitch method
or the whip stitch used in crocheting EDGINGS/BORDERS
or by making the slip knot and the foundation chain.
Ch 1, 1 single crochet into the same stitch
Skip 2 stitches and make:
3 double crochets, 1 picot stitch, 3 double crochets (all into the same stitch)
Picot st = ch 3, join the 3rd with the 1st st with e slip stitch
Skip 2 stitches and make: 1 single crochet stitch
Finish the edge with 1 single crochet stitch
