In this tutorial I am going to explain how to make this basket by using the crochet Knit Stitch... the knit stitch is another variety of the Single Crochet Stitch.

How to make the basket

Start by making a Magic Ring and then 8 single crochets into the ring



Round 1:   ch 1, make 2 single crochets  in each one of the stitches

Round 2:   ch 1, make 2 single crochets  in each one of the stitches

Round 3:   ch 1, make 1 back loop  single crochet  in each one of the stitches

Round 4:   ch 1, make 1 single crochet  in each one of the stitches



All the rest of the rounds till the end of the work: Round 4:   ch 1, make 1 knit stitch in each one of the stitches, alternating the colour of the yarn.

Finish the basket by making 2 rounds of the same colour of the yarn and add  a blanket stitch or crab stitch edging

How to make the Knit Stitch

Insert the hook where there is a V on the stitch, draw up a loop, yarn over, pass the yarn through both loops on the hook
