Dear crocheters!!! Welcome back to another tutorial of crochet.
In this post and the video below we are going to see how to crochet the SHELL stitch and as there are lots of Shell stitch varieties we are going to see how to make the SOLID SHELL stitch.
Shell stitch, is a "family" of stitches which should be worked into the same place, stitch. There is a huge variety of this family of stitches. Some of them are:
Solid shell stitch
Lace shell stitch
Half Shell or Tulip or duchess stitch
V- Stitch or Double crochet V-Stitch
Marshmallow stitch
There are different ways to make the shell stitch. You should follow the instructions of the pattern you use each time.
Generally, the starting chain consists on a multiple of 6 chs or 6+5 chs.
