Esistonono molti modi per avviare la maglia o come altrimente viene detto mettere su i punti:

Basta conoscere due o tre per poter fare tutto quello che volete fare senza alcun problema, anzi eviterete inutili confusioni.

Abbiamo visto la tecnica di mettere su i punti con doppio filo e in questo post vediamo come avviare con la tecnica filo singolo e utilizzando le dita: indice e pollice.
Nel video che segue troverete dettagliate spiegazioni ma comunque in seguito troverete delle foto che spero siano utili.

Istruzioni:

Quanto lungo deve essere il filo che utilizzeremo per mettere su le maglie?

Il filo deve essere lungo tre volte la lunghezza di quelli che vi servono.

Come tenere il filo
Per mettere su le maglie, teniamo il filo con la mano sinsitra. La parte del filo corto sta dalla parte sinistra della vostra mano sinistra.

Il ferro lo teniamo con la mano destra.

Insiziamo sempre facendo un cappietto iniziale:

Seguite le indicazione delle foto che seguono per fare il cappietto iniziale.

Inserire il ferro nel cappietto

Iniziare a mettere su le maglie

Inserite l'indice e il pollice uniti tra i due fili e poi apriteli per separarlo come nella foto 6

Inserire il ferro tra il pollice e il filo come nelal foto 9, 10

Passare il ferro tra l'indice e il filo come nella foto11

Prendere il filo e passarlo nel cappietto che si era creato al dito indice come nella foto 12

All knitting starts with casting on. This creates loops on the needle which will become the first row of stitches. In this post and the video below you can learn how to start knitting by using the Long Tail Cast-On Method or the continental cast-on method.

How long should be the yarn?

The length of the yarn should be 3 times longer than the length you need. (picture 1)

Keep the short part of the yarn on your right hand and the short on the left. ( picture 2)

When casting on keep the yarn on the left hand and the needle on the right ( picture 3)

The slip knot

Roll around the fingers as I do in the pictures 4, 5, 6, 7, 8,

then bring the yarn through the loop, creating a loop with a knot at the end (picture 9) ... Slide slip knot onto needle. Pull yarn to tighten knot (picture 10)

Cast on Written Instructions

Insert the index and thumb fingers as in picture 10 and separate the two parts of the yarn. open the two fingers and insert the needle from left to right under the yarn that there is on the thumb finger as in picture 11

Then bring the needle under the yarn there is on the index finger (pointer finger) as in picture 12 and then under back towards the thumb as in picture 13

Drop the head of the needle back down through the loop around your thumb and release your thumb from the loop and pull the yarn.(picture 14)
