How to crochet the Lace Shell Stitch

There are a lot of variations of the shell stitch such as  the classic and more known shell stitch, the V-Stitch, the crazy or brick shell stitch,  the Tulip or Duchess Stitch, and others. 
You can practice those and other "Shell Stitch Family" Stitches in my video tutorials.
A stitch that includes a lot of shell stitch variations is theMarshmallow Stitch .

In this post and the video tutorial that follows, we are going to see how to make The lace shell stitch.

Abbreviations:
ch, chs = chain, chains
st, sts = stitch, stitches
dc, dcs = double crochet, double crochets

Instructions:

Make a Foundation chain of a multiple of 6.

Row 1
ch4 ( count as 1 dc, ch 1), into the 5th ch 2 dcs, *skip 4 chs and into the next one make ( into the same stitch):
 2 dc, ch1, 2 dc*
Repeat from * to *  throughout the Row.
Finish the Row by making 2 dc, ch 1, 1 dc.

Row 2
ch 5, 2 dc into the same st, * skip 4 sts and into the 5th crochet
2 dcs, ch1, 2 dcs*
repeat from * to * thought out the Row...
